Reid, Murdoch & Co. Building
While editing late one night, I discovered the story of the Eastland Disaster and was moved by the role of Chicago’s Reid Murdoch Building in the rescue efforts. Months later, during a visit to the city, I rushed to photograph the building, What was planned to be a lively, movement-filled shot shifted to a quiet tribute to honor its history. The experience became a reminder that knowing a place’s past can reshape how we choose to frame the present.
Tribune Tower
A detailed plan can often lead to unexpected discoveries, as seen during my shoot at Tribune Tower. Despite a strict itinerary, the tower’s captivating light drew me in, leading to a portfolio-worthy shot and a newfound appreciation for the versatility of a 100mm macro lens in architectural photography.
